Wing Standards are constructed using quality pressure treated 4"x4" posts, holes are drilled every 3" and the tops are beveled.  Bases are made from pressure treated 2"x8"s which are attached to the posts using glue, galvanized washers and bolts.  Pickets are then constructed using hand selected pressure treated 1"x4" pine. These pickets are screwed to the 2"x4" pressure treated cross pieces which are joined, using glue and screws, into a dado which is cut into the 4"x4" posts.  Everything is carefully sanded prior to assembly to assure a smooth feel and appearance.  Jump cup holes are drilled on only one post of each wing.
